3D Printer: materials used, no output?
The job may need more than one powered night.
The 3D Printer carries work over between nights. It takes the materials when the job starts. If the recipe needs more work than the printer can finish in one night, keep that job powered until it finishes.
Read Required Work on the recipe chip and compare it with the printer’s current work per night. The base rate is 24 work per night; use the actual rate if a module changes Performance.
With a steady work rate and enough power every night:
Example: 50 work required, a steady rate of 24 work per night and enough power each night.
| Powered night | Work completed | Result |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | 24 | Still running |
| 2 | 48 | Still running |
| 3 | Remaining 2 | Printing finishes |
The first night counts. In this example, after two normal powered nights, one night remains. Power cuts pause the job; an unpowered night does not add progress.
Keep the current job supplied with power while it is unfinished, then check the output area for the finished item. If enough work has already accumulated, a multi-night job alone does not explain the missing output.
